Our story
Made on the Carolina coast
Kingston Hale began on the Carolina coast with a simple frustration: good clothes had become either disposable or out of reach. We set out to make the pieces in between – tailored jackets, honest knits, wool coats and leather boots that look considered, feel good and last for many seasons.
Our studio sits a few blocks from the Atlantic in Myrtle Beach. Everything we design is shaped by the landscape around us – the slow water of the Waccamaw River, live oaks hung with Spanish moss and salt marshes that turn gold and olive in October.

Soft and substantial
The cable knit is thick and soft, no itching at all. Washed it by hand once and it still looks new.
Looks even better in person
The color is a warm camel, exactly like the photos. I got so many compliments the first day I wore it.
Better than I expected
I was hesitant to order from a brand I didn't know, but the camel coat is beautiful. The wool feels substantial, the lining is clean and it arrived well packed with UPS in five days.
Gorgeous suede
Buttery suede and very well made. I usually wear a medium and the medium fits with a light knit underneath.
Great boots – go half a size up
Beautiful leather and solid soles. They run a little small, so I exchanged for a half size up and now they're perfect.
Sharp overcoat
Clean tailoring, heavy herringbone and a great length. Feels like a coat that will last for years.
My new favorite cardigan
Oversized in the best way. The burgundy is rich and deep – perfect for fall.
Quality you can feel
Thick wool, proper buttons, warm without being heavy. Customer service answered my sizing question within an hour.

Ordered on Monday, tracking came on Wednesday and the package was here the following Monday. Chinos fit as expected.

How long does delivery take?
Every order is prepared in our US warehouse within 2–4 business days and then shipped with UPS. Delivery takes another 2–4 business days. As soon as your parcel leaves the warehouse you receive a tracking number by email.
What does shipping cost?
Shipping is free on every order within the United States – no minimum order value. We currently ship to US addresses only.
What is your return policy?
You have 90 days from delivery to return unworn items with their tags attached. Simply email us your order number and we send you a printable return label. Return shipping is paid by the customer – in special cases, such as a damaged, faulty or incorrect item, we cover it. Your refund is issued to the original payment method once the return has been checked.
Can I exchange for a different size?
Of course. Start a return for the original item and place a new order for the size you need – that way your new size ships right away and does not depend on the return. Not sure which size to pick? Our stylists are happy to help at contact@kingstonhale.com.
Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay. All payments are processed through an SSL-encrypted Shopify checkout – we never see or store your card details, and your card issuer's fraud protection applies to every purchase.
How do I find the right size?
Click “Find my size” next to the size options on any product page. Enter your height and weight, answer two or three quick questions and our size assistant recommends your size in seconds. You can also open the detailed size chart or email us for personal size advice.
